Integrations
A note lands where you look for it.
A transcript, a summary or whatever a marker covered doesn’t stay in the app: it goes to Obsidian, Logseq, Bear, Apple Notes, Zotero, DEVONthink, Readwise or Readwise Reader.

TabletIntegration
A note from the tablet — as a transcript, a summary, the marked passages or the file as it is — goes to your app. You start it: with an action in AI Studio, with a rule, or with “Send to…” in Finder.
Readwise Reader only
Readwise ReaderTablet
An article you tag in Readwise Reader with a tag of your own choosing arrives on the tablet automatically at the next sync — laid out like a page from a browser. This is the only road back. How it works →
| Destination | What it accepts |
|---|---|
| Obsidian | text, PDF, Word, images |
| Logseq | the same; text also over the API |
| Bear | text |
| Apple Notes | text |
| Zotero | text, PDF, Word, images |
| DEVONthink | text, PDF, Word, images |
| Readwise | marked passages only |
| Readwise Reader | text |
How it works
Rules that hold for all eight
One direction only
A result leaves the app and never comes back: a note renamed in Obsidian is invisible to the app. The one exception is Readwise Reader, from which a tagged article travels to the tablet.
Secrets live in the Keychain
The Readwise and Readwise Reader keys sit in the macOS Keychain, like the rest. They appear in no preference file and no log.
Sending again
Update the note or create a new one — your call. Where an app can’t update, an unchanged document is skipped rather than duplicated.
Its own place and its own tag
The folder or space an integration creates is named “reMarkable (Slate Drive)” by default — rename it in the form. A note that carries tags gets the reMarkable tag first, ahead of yours.
An action does the sending
An integration is the last step of an AI Studio action: where to put the result. A document can also be sent as it is, if the app takes files. AI Studio →
Straight from Finder
“Send to…” on selected documents: a PDF or a book goes over with no recognition and no model — to Obsidian, Logseq, Zotero or DEVONthink, the ones that take files.
Back from Readwise Reader
The road in the other direction
the tag is the switch
A tag in Readwise Reader, an article on the tablet
Tag an article in Readwise Reader with the tag you name in the integration’s form, and at the next sync it arrives on the tablet, laid out like a page from a browser. The shelf can be any of yours in Readwise Reader, or “everywhere.”
The text comes from Readwise Reader
If Readwise Reader has already parsed the article, its text is what gets used — the one you read behind a paywall arrives the same way. With no text, the app fetches the address itself.
Where it lands
Into the folder you send everything to — in a subfolder of its own if you like. On the tablet the article gets the tags from this integration’s form: your words, not ours.
Once, and without a trace
Without the tag there is no road: the app takes nothing out of Readwise Reader that you didn’t mark yourself. An article travels once, however many times the tag turns up. Nothing is written back: the tag isn’t removed and the article isn’t archived. Highlights and notes don’t travel, and a document Slate Drive itself put into Readwise Reader won’t come back.
FAQ
Questions about integrations
- What about privacy?
- With local destinations, nothing leaves the Mac. Readwise and Readwise Reader get only what you sent; their keys sit in the macOS Keychain. Read more →
- Does anything sync back?
- No, export runs one way. The only road back is tagged articles from Readwise Reader.
- Do I need keys?
- Only for Readwise and Readwise Reader. Local destinations work with a folder or with the app itself on this Mac.
- Are Notion and OneNote coming?
- They’re planned. They aren’t in this build.
